ABOUT US

Welcome to #FairIsFoul2018. Inspired by Dr Hester Lees-Jeffries' blog on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, we will attempt to blog  line by line analysis of Macbeth

Who are we?

We are a group of Year 11 students from The Cherwell School, Oxford. Macbeth is our GCSE English text, but we're putting together this analysis outside lessons (in our weekly 'Cakespeare' lunch club).

What are we aiming to do?

We aim to read the text closely, then write up brief reflections to capture our thoughts. We'll look to unpick Shakespeare's language, to consider how the lines prefigure and recall other moments, to explore potential ambiguity and to think about the staging implications and possibilities.

Join in!

If you have thoughts on the lines (or you spot things we've missed - or think we're wrong!), please do use the comments function to politely get involved in our analysis.
